The Old Country Deli, formerly known simply as the Polish Deli, has been bringing a taste of the best Polish and European deli products to Enfield since 1981.
Situated in the beautiful historic building of the Polish National Home of Enfield, our Deli has been the right place for every food craving. Our Deli case also boasts the best variety of Polish smoked hams, kielbasa – polish sausage, golabki, stuffed cabbage, head cheese, and other meats that cannot be found in other stores. Polish dairy products, such as Polish deli cheese, farmer's cheese (used for pierogi, Polish-style cheesecake, or just to eat as it is), butter, kefir, and other imported gourmet foods have an excellent taste.
All of our premium deli meats are the highest quality available and always sliced fresh to order. Choose from a variety of smoked meats, traditional deli favorites and imported specialties. Enjoy one of our house prepared salads or one of many imported and domestic artisan cheeses. Freshly baked breads and pastries are available too.
Hours of Operation Monday through Friday: 9.00 AM – 5 PM Saturday: 9.30 AM – 2 PM. Please note that the kitchen for meals prepared to order closes 15 minutes before the closing time.

Our Pierogi are present in over 30 stores all over New England, but our Deli is the only place where you can buy our famous Golabki, Meat Pierogi and our Sauerkraut!
Golabki is the plural of golabek, the diminutive of golab, meaning “pigeon”. This are a traditional Polish dish made from lightly boiled cabbage leaves, which are wrapped in a parcel-like manner around minced spiced pork and beef meat, chopped onions and rice; baked and covered with a sweet-and-sour tomato, kielbasa or mushroom sauce.
There is an unverified story or myth that the Grand Duke of Lithuania and King of Poland Casimir IV Jagiellon fed his army with golabki before a key battle of the Thirteen Years’ War outside of Marienburg Castle (Malbork) against the Teutonic Order around 1465. Polish rumor has it, that victory over the Teutonic Order was partially credited to strength of the hearty meal of Golabki given to the allied Polish and Prussian troops.
